In portraiture the eyes say it all. I like to move in close when capturing images of children and families, expressing feelings and emotions, telling a story, recording a moment in time that will last forever. We have a lot of fun during a session and it shows in my work. Simply put, I love to take photographs and appreciate life through my camera lens.

I began my studies in the art of photography at the North Oxfordshire College of Art in the UK. Part way through the coursed my husband was offered the opportunity to work in Marin County, California. We jumped at the chance and so I put my education on hold. Four years later we returned to the UK, and my former professor and mentor inspired me to resume my photography studies. I completed my Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Photography soon after.

In 2001 my family moved back to sunny California. I presently live in Marin County with my wonderful husband and our two fantastic children: Isabelle (11) and Lily (3)–whom we very recently adopted from China. We share our home with our dog and cat – both of which we rescued from the pound.

We live on Ring Mountain. This is one of my favorite outdoor spots to photograph people.
